Just under an hour drive from our Nation's Capitol, near the Blue Ridge Mountains, lies the world famous winery and wine experience - OASIS.

Oasis Winery is a premium boutique winery, Rated Top 10 in the World, and can be found in select premium locations, such as Relais & Chateuax properteries, 5 star hotels, as well as your local wine merchant - and in most instances exclusively available at the winery. The Oasis setting is majestic and breathtaking - the visitors center and vineyards overlook the US National Park/Skyline Drive. Oasis is one of the oldest vineyards in the state, offering visitors both a romantic and comfortable retreat, in addition to facilities to host meetings, lunches, dinners, and special events. The view from the winery is like a mural painted by Mother Nature; its' vista sets row after row of vineyards atop gently rolling hills, with a beautiful water fountain centering out of the lake. The entire scene is framed by the majestic mountains towering behind, offering the cool gentle breezes required in Oasis' award-winning viticultural practices.
The leadership and science of our winemaking comes from our co-founder, Tareq Salahi, who studied under his late father Dirgham Salahi, and continued his education at the University of California, Davis, which is the leading educational institution for the world's wine industry. Mr. Salahi sub-focused in sparkling wines and has extensive experience working in Taittinger, Domaine Carneros of Napa Valley, and Australia. He returned to the family vineyards in the early 90s. Under Mr. Salahi's leadership, Oasis was rated Top 10 in the World in 2000!

At Oasis, we view winemaking as a science, an art, and an experience. We understand that the wine experience is critical to the wine lovers who desire a passionate experience and surroundings that include dining and other enjoyable activities.

The art of winemaking begins in the vineyard with hand nurtured grapes picked at their peak; then slowly fermented in a diverse array of tanks and French & American oak barrels to enhance, balance, and bring out the best the fruit can offer. Our experience dates back to 1977 when Mr. Salahi and his father planted some of the first Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot vines in Virginia.

A visit to the Oasis Winery will give you the unique opportunity to discover one of the world's leading premium wine producers, offering award-winning wines and sparkling wines. These wines consistently win gold medals in the most prestigious international and national wine competitions and have earned Oasis the honor of being rated Top 10 in the World! The Oasis winery has a capacity of 100,000 gallons. A portion of our production is devoted to our international award winning sparkling wines, which are produced in the traditional method "Methode Champenoise," whereby the wine goes through a second fermentation naturally in its' individual bottle. This is identical to the method used in the Champagne region of France.

Surrounding Oasis are a great number of other wineries located in the Blue Ridge WineWay district, bed-and-breakfasts & inns, championship golf courses, antique stores, as well as some of the finest restaurants in the world, including the famed Inn at Little Washington, which is only 10 to 15 minutes from Oasis. Open Houses: Numerous open houses are held throughout the year when new wine releases are featured. Open houses feature live music or other entertainment in addition to the usual tours and tastings.
Oasis Operations; General Admission, Wine Tastings, VIP Tastings, Lunch: Oasis is open daily, year-round from Noon to 5 PM (Monday thru Thursday) – 7 PM on weekends (Friday thru Sunday). We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Special events, Wine Country Tours, private or VIP wine tastings, in addition to catering, is available at the winery. Special events can be held during normal operating hours or after 6 PM. In high-season, we offer a wide selection of gourmet cheeses, salamis, and other items from the winery menu in a casual atmosphere. Reservations, groups, or VIP arrangements are available and accepted for reserved seating on our Meritage Patio, Vine Room, our popular three tier infrared heated & summer-cooled deck, covered European stone pavilion with fountain, trellis patio, the main visitors center, or a conference room with air conditioning.

Special Events & Private Parties: Host your own private party or wine dinner at the winery. The winery is also available for weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and business outings, including full turn-key service using our Wine Country Tour division. Blessing of the Vineyard: This signature Oasis wine dinner experience is held in the fall to bless the vines and the new wine. This is a great opportunity to gather friends, meet new friends, and sample the latest award-winning wines and older vintages. A processional into the vineyard precedes its’ blessing with holy water. An informal and fun wine and food gathering on our pavilion overlooking the vineyards and Blue Ridge Mountains follows.
The Great Grape Stomp, Wine Country Tours & Events: We are the true Wine Country experts - making your visit memorable and safe including team building events, grape stomping competitions, wine tours, wine lunches, wine dinners, catering, and all coordination & transportation to Virginia Wineries from 2 passengers up to 55 passengers per limousine or coach! We offer catering menus for 2 persons up to events in the hundreds. Cheers!
Investor Opportunities: Oasis is pleased to announce plans to expand wine production and open an inn, spa, and wine & food educational center.
