Just under an hour drive from our Nations Capitol near the Blue Ridge Mountains, lies the world famous winery and wine experience - "OASIS".
Oasis Winery is a premium boutique winery, Rated Top 10 in the World, and can be found in select premium locations such as Relais & Chateuax properteries to 5 star Hotels to your local wine merchant - and in some instances exclusively available at the winery via Internet orders or a personal visit to the winery. The Oasis setting is majestic and breathtaking as the winery visitors center and the vineyards overlook the US National Park/Skyline Drive. Oasis, one of the oldest vineyards in the state, offers visitors both a romantic and comfortable retreat, in addition to facilities to host meetingsl lunches, dinners and special events. The view from the winery is like a mural painted by Mother Nature; a vista of row after row of vineyards set on gently rolling hills, with a beautiful water fountain centering out of the lake, framed by the majesticmountains towering behind, offering cool gentle breezes on Oasis award-winning viticultural practices.
The leadership and science of our winemaking comes from our Founder, Tareq Salahi, a graduate of the University of California, Davis which is the the worlds leading educational institution for the worlds wine industry; Mr. Tareq Salahi sub-focused in sparkling wines and has extensive experience working Taittinger, Domaine Carneros of Napa Valley, Australia, South Africa, and recently participated and visited with Veuve Clicquot in Epernay, France and returned to the family vineyards to take Oasis to a new level. Under Mr. Tareq Salahis leadership - Oasis was rated Top 10 in the World in 2000!
At Oasis, Tareq Salahi views winemaking as a science, an art, and an experience. He understands that the wine experience is critical to the wine lover enjoying the overall passionate experience and surroundings to include dinning and other enjoyable activities that surround wine.
The art of winemaking begins in the vineyard with hand nurtured grapes picked at their peak, then slowly fermented in a diverse array of tanks and french & american oak barrels to enhance, balance and bring out the best the fruit can offer. Our experience dates back to 1977 when Tareq Salahi and his father together planted by hand some of the first Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines in Virginia.
A visit to the Oasis Winery will give you the unique opportunity to discover one of the world's leading premium wine producers offering a full line of award-winning wines and sparkling wines. These wines consistently win gold medals in the most prestigious international and national wine competitions and has garned Oasis to be rated Top 10 in the World! The Oasis Winery has a capacity of 100,000 gallons. A portion of our production is devoted to our international award winning sparkling wines, which are produced in the traditional method "Methode Champenoise," whereby the wine goes through a second fermentation naturally in its individual bottle. This is identical to that method utilized in the Champagne region of France.

Open Houses: Numerous open house events are held throughout the year when new wine releases are featured. At such occasions live music or other entertainment is offered in addition to the usual tours and tastings.
Oasis Operations; General Admission, Wine Tastings, VIP Tastings, Lunch: Oasis is open daily, year-round from 11am to 5pm ( Monday thru Thursday) - 7pm on weekends ( Friday thru Sunday). We are closed only on Christmas and New Years Day. Special events, Wine Country Tours, private or VIP wine tastings in addition to catering is available at the Winery or on our Yacht based in Washington DC near Georgetown. Special Events can occur both during normal operating hours or after 6pm. We offer a wide selection of gourmet cheeses, salamis, and other items from the Winery menu in a casual atmosphere. Reservations, groups or VIP arrangements are available and accepted for reserved seating on our Meritage Patio, Vine Room, our popular 3 Tier Infrared Heated & Summer cooled Deck, Covered European Stoned Pavilion with fountain, Trellis Patio, the main visitors center or Conference room with air conditioning. In addition, Oasis is a Davidoff Grand Reserve Receipent offering premium Davidoff Cigars for your outing orspecial event.

Special Events & Private Parties: Host your own private party or wine dinner at the winery. The winery or yacht is also available for weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and business outings including Full Turn key service using our Wine Country Tour division. Exotic, International, and ethnic delicious meals prepared by some of the best chefs in the area are held throughout the year. Blessing of the Vineyard: This signature Oasis wine dinner experience is held the last Saturday of August to bless the vines and the new harvest. This is a great opportunity to gather friends, meet new friends and sample the latest award-winning wines and older Oasis vintages during a processional into the vineyard with a Blessing with Holy Water in the Vineyard, followed by a informal and fun wine and food gathering on our pavilion overlooking the vineyards and Blue Ridge Mountains.
The I LOVE Lucy Grape Stomp, Wine Country Tours & Events: We are the true Wine Country Experts making your visit memorable and safe including team building events, grape stomping competitions, wine tours, wine lunches, wine dinners, catering and all coordination & transportation to Virginia Wineries from 2 passengers up to 55 passengers per limousine or coach!
